My name is Jo, and I write stories (mostly with my collaborator, Ariel).
This blog is for my fanfiction. Or rather, what goes on in my head as I write fanfiction.
Here, I’ll be putting up rough drafts, silly ideas, half-finished scenes, and whimsical thoughts. Whatever decent material that arises from these randomosities will be posted here in their roughs before being polished up and posted on either Ao3 or FFN.
I started this blog on DreamWidth originally, but moved it to WordPress simply because I prefer the user interface. My other two blogs are also on WP, so the transition made sense. I’m still fiddling with the organization of the site, but it’s pretty much done now.
Hopefully, if you’re dropping by out of curiosity, the bits and bobs will be amusing.

For those who aren’t clear on what fanfiction is, this is what Wikipedia had to say about it.
Fan fiction (alternatively referred to as fanfiction, fanfic, FF, or fic) is a broadly defined term for fan labor regarding stories about characters or settings written by fans of the original work, rather than by the original creator… Most fan fiction writers assume that their work is read primarily by other fans, and therefore tend to presume that their readers have knowledge of the canon universe (created by a professional writer) in which their works are based.
Fanfiction is what literature might look like if it were reinvented from scratch after a nuclear apocalypse by a band of brilliant pop-culture junkies trapped in a sealed bunker. They don’t do it for money. That’s not what it’s about. The writers write it and put it up online just for the satisfaction. They’re fans, but they’re not silent, couchbound consumers of media. The culture talks to them, and they talk back to the culture in its own language.—Lev Grossman, TIME, July 18, 2011
